Description

Delicious Cajun spiced chicken wings baked or air fried for a crispy finish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon red cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground oregano
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Pat the chicken dry and place it in a large bowl or plastic bag. Bake or air fry. Season the chicken wings with the Cajun rub seasoning. Ensure the chicken is fully coated.
  3. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and add the wings to the pan.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes and then flip the wings.
  5. Bake for an additional 15-25 minutes. Ensure the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Use a meat thermometer.
  6. If using an air fryer, spray your air fryer basket with cooking oil to prevent sticking. Add the chicken to the air fryer basket.
  7. Air fry for 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
  8. Open the air fryer and flip the chicken. Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes. Ensure the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Use a meat thermometer.

Notes

  • Regular paprika can be used instead of smoked paprika.
  • Add more cayenne for additional heat if very spicy is preferred.
