Description

Delicious cheesy burritos filled with savory ground beef, cheddar cheese, and nacho cheese sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef Filling: In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until it’s well-browned, breaking it up with a spatula. Stir in the ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  2. Assemble the Burritos: Warm the flour tortillas in a dry pan or microwave for a few seconds to make them pliable. Place a generous amount of the beef mixture in the center of each tortilla. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef. Drizzle with a few tablespoons of nacho cheese sauce.
  3. Fold the Burritos: Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll tightly into a burrito shape. Repeat for the remaining tortillas.
  4. Warm the Burritos: In a skillet or pan, toast each burrito on medium heat until the tortilla is golden brown and slightly crispy.
  5. Serve: Cut the burritos in half for easy serving. Drizzle more nacho cheese sauce on top. Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add cooked rice or refried beans to the beef filling.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding sliced jalapeños or hot sauce.
  • To make it a complete meal, serve with a side of salsa and guacamole.
