- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter or oil for cooking
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced chicken, shredded cheese, cilantro, onions, bell peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
- Assemble the Quesadilla Wraps:
- Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface.
- Spread a tablespoon of sour cream evenly over the tortilla.
- Place about 1/4 of the chicken and cheese mixture onto one half of the tortilla.
- Fold the tortilla in half to enclose the filling.
- Cook the Wraps:
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
- Once hot, place the quesadilla wrap in the skillet.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Repeat with the remaining wraps.
- Serve:
- Cut the wraps into halves or thirds.
- Serve warm with additional sour cream, salsa, or guacamole if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken with taco seasoning before cooking.
- To add freshness, you can add diced tomatoes or jalapeños into the filling.
- Ensure not to overfill the tortillas to prevent the filling from spilling out.
- Use a panini press for even cooking and to seal in the flavors more effectively.
