Description

A delicious recipe for cheesy chicken quesadilla wraps that are easy to make and perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar and mozzarella blend is ideal)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter or oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced chicken, shredded cheese, cilantro, onions, bell peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
  2. Assemble the Quesadilla Wraps:
    • Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface.
    • Spread a tablespoon of sour cream evenly over the tortilla.
    • Place about 1/4 of the chicken and cheese mixture onto one half of the tortilla.
    • Fold the tortilla in half to enclose the filling.
  3. Cook the Wraps:
    • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
    • Once hot, place the quesadilla wrap in the skillet.
    • Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
    • Repeat with the remaining wraps.
  4. Serve:
    • Cut the wraps into halves or thirds.
    • Serve warm with additional sour cream, salsa, or guacamole if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken with taco seasoning before cooking.
  • To add freshness, you can add diced tomatoes or jalapeños into the filling.
  • Ensure not to overfill the tortillas to prevent the filling from spilling out.
  • Use a panini press for even cooking and to seal in the flavors more effectively.
