Description

A quick and delicious recipe for making French bread pizza that is perfect for a snack or a meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread, halved lengthwise
  • ½ cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Toppings of choice: pepperoni, cooked sausage, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, onions, etc.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place French bread halves cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread pizza sauce evenly over each half.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the sauce.
  5. Add your favorite toppings evenly.
  6. Sprinkle with oregano and garlic powder.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly and edges of bread are crispy.
  8. Let cool 2–3 minutes, slice, and serve hot.
