Description

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a pie plate or a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. In a heat-safe bowl, melt together the butter and 2 cups of chocolate chips until smooth, using a double boiler or microwave at 50% power in 30-second intervals.
  4. Allow it to cool.
  5. In an electric mixer, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, approximately 3 minutes.
  6. In the cooled chocolate mixture, add the flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
  7. Stir in the remaining 1 cup of chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is puffed, and the top may crack.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
  11. Top with hot fudge before serving.
