- 6 Tbsp butter
- 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease a pie plate or a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a heat-safe bowl, melt together the butter and 2 cups of chocolate chips until smooth, using a double boiler or microwave at 50% power in 30-second intervals.
- Allow it to cool.
- In an electric mixer, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, approximately 3 minutes.
- In the cooled chocolate mixture, add the flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
- Stir in the remaining 1 cup of chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is puffed, and the top may crack.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
- Top with hot fudge before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
- Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
