Description

A delicious and refreshing Grilled Tomato and Burrata Toast recipe that’s perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium heirloom tomatoes (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • Kosher salt (as needed)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (as needed)
  • 4 slices sourdough bread (cut ½” thick)
  • 4 ounces burrata
  • 1 medium Haas avocado (peeled, pitted and sliced)
  • Handful watercress leaves

Instructions

  1. Drizzle the tomato slices with olive oil then season with salt and pepper. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a large griddle or grill over medium-high heat. Add the slices of bread and cook until grill marks appear, about 1 minute. Flip and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Top each slice with burrata followed by tomato slices, avocado, and watercress. Slice each toast in half.

Notes

  • For best flavor, use ripe heirloom tomatoes.
  • You can substitute burrata with fresh mozzarella if desired.
