Description

A delicious cranberry sauce with pineapple, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned, drained)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • ½ cup pineapple juice or water
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest (optional, but recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice or lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Add cranberries, pineapple chunks, sugar, pineapple juice (or water), orange zest, citrus juice, cinnamon, and salt to a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes, until cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool — the sauce will thicken more as it cools.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Serve warm or chilled.

Notes

  • This sauce can be made ahead of time and served chilled or warmed up.
  • Adjust sugar to taste depending on the tartness of the cranberries.
