Description
A delicious twist on lasagna combining all the flavors of beef tacos.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 9–12 sheets lasagna noodles
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium diced onion
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 cup salsa
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
- Sliced jalapeños (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the Beef:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Add ground beef; cook until browned.
- Stir in taco seasoning and diced tomatoes with green chilies. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Prepare Noodles:
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Assemble the Lasagna:
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of salsa on the bottom.
- Place a layer of lasagna noodles over the salsa.
- Spread a portion of the beef mixture over the noodles.
- Sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a generous layer of cheese on top.
- Bake:
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve:
- Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with sour cream, chopped cilantro, and optional jalapeños.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a layer of refried beans or black beans.
- Use a mix of cheeses for more depth in flavor.
- Adjust the heat level by adding more or less jalapeños and adjusting the taco seasoning to your taste.
- Letting the lasagna rest for a few minutes before slicing will help it hold its shape better.
