Description

Delicious pumpkin bars with chocolate chips, perfect for fall!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and pumpkin puree until smooth. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; fold in chocolate chips gently.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool for about ten minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Cut into squares and serve warm.
