Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese sauce
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling:
    • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
    • Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
    • Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
    • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
    • Drain excess fat if necessary.
    • Stir in taco seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
    • Mix in the cheese sauce until well combined and heated through.
  2. Assemble the Burritos:
    • Lay a tortilla flat and place a portion of the beef mixture in the center.
    • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
    • Roll the tortilla tightly, tucking in the sides as you go.
  3. Cook the Burritos:
    • In a clean skillet, cook each burrito seam side down over medium heat until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Serve:
    • Serve the burritos with a drizzle of sour cream and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add jalapeños or bell peppers to the beef mixture.
  • You can also add cooked rice or beans to make the burritos more filling.
  • If you prefer baked burritos, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the assembled burritos for 10-15 minutes until the cheese inside is melted and bubbly.
